Why does the Croozer not have a reclining position?
Safety in the Croozer has priority over the comfort. A flat reclining position does not allow a child to be strapped in safely. Children, who are lying down, must be strapped in securely to prevent them from slipping forward.
Babies and small children
Again and again parents ask us whether and from what age they can take their babies in a Croozer.
In principle the same applies to taking your child in a trailer as in a car.
However you should pay attention to a few details, your child should always be transported in a correctly fitting baby seat and it must be correctly fitted to prevent it from tipping over.
Special baby seats and the corresponding attachment sets are available for most models. Never forget that your baby is a tender creature, who is especially sensitive to all bumps and jolts.
We do recommend a low tyre pressure (approx. 1.5 bar) and cycling at a reasonable speed does produce the best effect.
Remember that the force of any hurdle depends on the speed over which they are cycled rather than the unevenness of the road.
Be careful and gentle; don’t expect too much from your baby. Enjoy being able to be active with your baby, but do not attempt to train for the Olympics.
It is only when your child is approx.18 months old that you can rely on him to let you know whether he likes you to cycle slow and gentle or fast and racy.
